The mission of the division is to study cellular and molecular interactions in Cancer Immunity, Autoimmunity, Immune recognition and Cancer Development. We take a multiple disciplinary approach, including immunology, genetics, and cell biology, to address common pathways in the above fields. A variety of animal models of cancer and autoimmune diseases are studied. Fundamental discoveries are extended to human diseases with special emphasis on relevance of mouse models for the treatment and genetic diagnosis of human diseases, including multiple sclerosis, breast cancer and prostate cancer.
