Namely, discovered that tumor resistance to radiation and chemotherapy is conferred by pancreatic cancer stem cells. Dr. Lee helped identify different targetable proteins expressed selectively by pancreatic cancer stem cells for therapeutics. His mentor was Dr. Diane Simeone.
