Third Year Goals and Objectives

Trainee is the senior resident on many rotations, and the opportunity for independent responsibility increases considerably as they share the responsibility of running the service with the chief resident on the some rotations. The operative experience includes cases of increased complexity. The residents who completed their PGY-3 year in June 2006 recorded an average of 613 major operations in their ACGME Case Logs during their initial three years of training.
