Surgical Oncology

The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Michigan provides operative care for cancers of the breast, skin, and gastrointestinal tract. Special expertise exists in the Division of Surgical Oncology in the management of patients with breast cancer, melanoma, pancreatic cancer, metastatic diseases to the liver, and soft tissue sarcomas.

Basic science investigation in surgical oncology includes investigation of the immunology of tumor development, as well as using immunologic approaches to tumor therapy.
