Aladdein Mattar, M.D., is a Research Investigator in the Division of Acute Care Surgery. Dr. Mattar began his medical education at Al Azher University Medical School in Cairo, Egypt, where he earned a degree in medicine. He completed a surgical internship at Al Hussain University Hospital in Cairo and residencies in both surgery and pediatric surgery at Bab El Sharia University Hospital. Dr. Mattar went on to hold the positions of Pediatric Surgical Lecturer at Al Azher University Medical School and Attending Pediatric Surgeon at Bab El Sharia University Hospital and Al Hussain University Hospital before completing a fellowship in pediatric surgery at the University of Michigan.

In recent years, Dr. Mattar has served as an active Research Associate in the Division of Acute Care Surgery with an emphasis on burn injuries.
